former westerner now fully ensconced in new england and loving it. unabashedly liberal, i grew up in idaho surrounded by some of the worst and most closed-minded conservatives ever, so you can imagine how refreshing it is to currently be living in the state that can raise the ire of any conservative just by merely suggesting its name in passing conversation: namely, massachusetts. i've been highly active in politics and campaigns since i was little, and two years ago i served as the campaign manager for the first openly lesbian state representative in idaho. i've spent a couple of years teaching english in europe in another place that really pisses conservatives off: france. now, however, i'm content to work and finish grad school.
